Catface Copper Mine

Synopsis

Imperial Metals Corp is continuing exploration drilling for copper on Catface Mountain in Clayoquot Sound. The proposal is for an open-pit mine. Catface is in the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and any mine would be visible and audible from Ahousat and Tofino. Imperial Metals acquired Selkirk Metals, the previous owner of the project, on November 5, 2009.
