Bruce Power Saskatchewan Nuclear Study

Synopsis

Bruce Power is conducting specific siting studies for a nuclear generating station in Saskatchewan, having concluded in late 2008 that a region on the North Saskatchewan River from Lloydminster through North Battleford to Prince Albert, as well as the lower reach of the South Saskatchewan River, downstream of Saskatoon, would be appropriate.

Resolution

On December 18, 2009, the Saskatchewan provincial government declared that it does not support Ontario-based Bruce Power's study, but that nuclear should remain an option in the future. Source.
