Meditation Lake Development
|
Synopsis CANCELLED - Oct 2009. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation wants to build a $10 million, 300-bed private youth camp at Meditation Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park, about 150 km northeast of Winnipeg. For decades, the lake has been a remote access area, accessible only by foot. In April 2009, a road was bulldozed to the lake, despite government denials that the project had been approved or that a road was under construction. |
